Unable to view VitalSource ebooks in my Blackboard Learn module

Individual chapters of VitalSource textbooks may not display in Blackboard if the pop-up blocker is turned on.

To switch off "pop up blocking" follow the instructions below. NOTE:. Different versions of browsers have have slightly different instructions.

Google Chrome

1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar. This is on the extreme top right hand side of the window just under the ‘close’ icon. This menu’s icon consists of three horizontal black bars

2. Select 'Settings'

3. Click 'Show advanced settings' (at the bottom of the page)

4. In the Privacy section, click 'Content settings'

5. In the Pop-ups section, select "Allow all sites to show pop-ups".
   
   Torestore settings and turn Pop-Up Blocker on follow steps 1-4 and in the pop-up section select ‘Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)’.

Internet Explorer

1. Click the 'Tools' menu

2. Click the 'Privacy' tab

3. Click 'Clear Block pop-ups' to turn Pop-up Blocker off,
   
   To restore settings and turn Pop-up Blocker on again select Block pop-ups.

Mozilla Firefox     

1. Open 'Mozilla Firefox'

2. Click 'Tools'

3. Click 'Options'

4. Click the 'Web features' button on the left hand side of the Options window.

5. Uncheck 'Block Popup Windows'
